El Venero

El Venero, the Moorish villa of Hector and Chico de Ayala in Marbella, Spain, 1967.

The sumptuous Moorish villa of Hector and Chico de Ayala (he was once Cuba´s ambassador to France), lies inland from Marbella, at the foot of the Sierra Blancas. Hector and Chico de Ayala were two of the most prominent and wealthy aristocrats in Spain, known for their love of luxury and their dedication to preserving the country’s cultural heritage. Their Marbella estate was one of the most exclusive and elegant homes in the region, known for its beautiful gardens, stunning views of the Mediterranean Sea, and opulent amenities.

In the photograph, Hector and Chico de Ayala are shown sitting by the pool, surrounded by the lush greenery and elegant architecture of their estate. They are both dressed in stylish and sophisticated clothing, and they exude an air of natural elegance and aristocratic charm. The photograph captures a moment of luxurious leisure, as the two brothers enjoy the beautiful surroundings of one of Spain’s most exclusive destinations.
