Chanel Haute Couture is a visual tribute to one of the fashion world's most influential couture houses. The book was created in close collaboration with Chanel and designed by Sofia Coppola, whose personal expression shapes the whole through collages, photo montages and an intuitive narrative.

The relationship between Coppola and Chanel began when, at fifteen, she interned in the atelier in Paris. Since then the collaboration has evolved over several decades and now culminates in this extensive volume presenting Chanel's haute couture history from a unique perspective.

Across 450 pages the reader follows the house's development from Gabrielle Chanel to Karl Lagerfeld and Virginie Viard. Here previously unseen sketches, archive material, runway images and photographs of clients who have worn the iconic creations appear side by side. Together they paint a rich portrait of the creations, people and eras that have shaped Chanel and influenced generations of designers.
