WINTER WONDERLAND
Surefire snow in Lech
Robbie Williams, the Dutch royal family, Princess Diana. These are just a few of the famous personalities who have ranked the Austrian ski resort of Lech among their favourites. A beautiful, charming winter paradise where both snow and sun are virtually guaranteed.

EXCELLENT SKIING
Top class in Tyrol
Lech am Arlberg is located in Tyrol, in the huge ski area of Arlberg, which is also home to the popular ski resorts of Zürs, St. Christoph, and St. Anton. This makes for a holistic experience with excellent skiing set against the breathtaking backdrop of the Austrian Alps. Boutique hotels, star restaurants and kilometre-long slopes in a total of six valleys. Lech exudes luxury without putting on snobbish airs.

PRIVATE GETAWAY
Discreet service
While other jet set ski resorts (such as St. Moritz and Verbier in Switzerland) are all about seeing and being seen, Lech takes the opposite approach. Keeping a low profile is not an art. Here, discretion is paramount, and that philosophy appeals to many celebrities. It is said that in Lech, even public figures can count on being left alone. The heart of the village is crowded with high-end watch shops, luxury jewellers and golden ski racks.

SAFE & COMFORTABLE
Leisurely skiing
The Lech ski area has 97 lifts divided into four systems. Among other things, you can take the gondola up to Rutikopf, a mountain that soars 2,362 metres above sea level. In general, the slopes in Lech are wide, pleasant and ideal for leisurely skiing. If you’re looking for more challenging slopes with narrower and steeper terrain, the neighbouring village of Zürs is your go-to destination. But stay in Lech if you want to try some exhilarating off-piste options.

TRADITIONAL RULES
A ski resort with personality
The outdoor cafes in Lech are required to close at just 7 pm; after that hour music may only be played indoors. Lech definitely isn’t the place for people looking for a party. To prevent the slopes from becoming overcrowded, the number of day passes for the ski lift systems is limited. There are also rules about how tall the buildings can be and how they can be designed, all to maintain the personality of the place.
